Current Music: beautiful life~~~charlotte martin

Well, my brother and sister-in-law and my adorable little nephew left yesterday.

It was so nice to see them again, and this time Thorne was a little more comfortable with his surroundings, and he REALLYenjoyed himself!  He watched his daddy and uncle "Jophas", as he calls Joseph, shoot guns, and then he got to ride the four-wheeler with uncle Jophas, and he didn't not stop talking about it even when he left.

I've gotta go to Jackson, for lessons, and then a dress rehearsal for that dratted concert I have to be in.  But inbetween time after my lesson and the rehearsal, we will probably go shopping.  *I can already see those bookstores*

Ooh, good news!  My cat had four tiny, beautiful kittens.  Two are jet-black, one is orange, and the other is grey.  I've yet to come up with names for them all, but it won't be too long.

Well, I have to rush off.  Love you all so much!!!

Oh, I feel so sleepy.  I have got to start getting to bed earlier, because it is so hard for me to wake up in the mornings.

I had an awesome time last night, getting to chat with Elizabeth(Paulini) on Skype!!!  That was just too cool, talking to someone I'd never met in real life, thousands of miles away!

Other good news, Trey and Laura and Thorne are coming down this weekend! *yay*  I will try to take some pictures of him this time so you all can see him.

Right now I'm taking a break between violin lessons, because one of my students cancelled, and I feel like I could fall off to sleep right this minute.

I'm reading Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey and so far it's pretty good.  It is not very dynamic, and at times it is even predictable, but there are some really neat quotes by her that just make me crack up.

Well, I've gotta run.

Current Music: the dangling conversation~~~simon&garfunkel

I haven't gotten any school done today.  We had to go into Jackson early this morning to the dentist, we came back and I had to immediately begin teaching.  I have a thirty minute break now, but then I will have more students coming.

It wouldn't have been so busy had I planned ahead a little, but me being me, I forgot about the dentist until last night.  Then had to get up really early, to leave early, to get back early, to get done teaching at a reasonable time.

There is one good thing about it, this is the first week of the month, and I get paid by the month!  Woohoo!

Oh and some clothes we ordered from Lands End came in today.  I got some really cute denim gouchos, and two polo shirts!  I'm happy about that!

Life is good, just busy.

It's as if all of a sudden a sweeping epidemic of traveling has struck this family.  Jason and Melissa are leaving tomorrow evening, for a spring break vacation.  Melissa teaches middle school English and hasn't had a real break in a long time, so they are going to the Smokie Mountains.

And then Daddy and Mama and Joseph and I are leaving for Houston Sunday afternoon, and staying till Friday.  Daddy has a school, which has something to do with business, so we are going with him this time.  I'm looking forward to it as we plan to do a lot of shopping and touring museums.

As an English assignment, I am writing a research paper on C.S.Lewis.  That sucker is taking a long time.  I love reading about Lewis, but putting down all this information is exhaustive.  I'll be glad when it's through.

Wait till you hear my news!!!!  The Bluegrass band, Nickel Creek, is coming to Jackson next month!!!!!!!!  And I'm going! We're getting the tickets tomorrow, and I can hardly wait.  If you have never heard their music, I strongly recommend it, it's awesome. Great mandolin, great fiddle, great vocals, great everything!

Okay, I think I've run out of important things to announce, so I bid you all a very fond farewell, until our next meeting.

Dec. 7th, 2006 @ 08:48 pm boringness......
Well, despite my previous elated post, nothing's been happening around here lately.

It's been as follows: school, teach, practice, more school and more practicing.  And never enough practicing done.

Tomorrow I will be playing Christmas music at the new coffee shop.  I'm looking forward to it, but I'm also really nervous.  You know, I've done gigs and stuff, but this will be the first time I've actually went out and asked to play.

Oh I want to travel.  So badly, I want to go somewhere new and different.  This urge will probably only last about five minutes, but how sweet it is while it lasts.

Don't mind me tonight, I'm just rather dissatisfied with myself tonight.

Its been ages since I read a good murder mystery, so I checked out a Mary Higgins Clark several days ago.  Can't complain, at least it hasn't been boring.

Reeces peanut butter icecream makes me so very happy.

I'm going Saturday with my future sister-in-law, to do her gift registry.  I'm really looking forward to it.

I found a collection of short stories by P.G. Wodehouse yesterday marked way down!!  I mean this book was thick! I was elated!!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the tv series Columbo?  I have like the first 5 seasons on dvd.  I don't know why, but he is just the coolest!!

Nothing else to really say, so I guess I'll get off.

Oh, it is really awesome that I now have 15 userpics instead of just 6.  Can anyone tell me why that is?

Violin students can sometimes be the Biggest. Pain. Ever.

I hate it when I get a lesson time mixed up, and then I can't remember what was said on the phone, and they can't remember what the appointed time was.

ARRGHHH!

Current Music: i just want you to know who i am~~~goo goo dolls

*disclaimer*: This is about the college campus where the music camp was held.  It was one of many camps going on there at the time. This is nothing against the college if that's the way they want to run things.  Personally I would never wish to go there, but I don't want to talk bad about it, I just want your seperate opinions on it.   So tell me what you think.

~~Would you want to go to a college where you could only wear skirts or dresses PERIOD, and long shorts if you were doing some sport activity?

Would you want to go to a college where if you are female you are not allowed to have a job off campus?

Would you want to go to a college where if you are female you are not allowed to leave campus for, say a trip to walmart or just a drive somewhere, unless you are accompanied by two or more other girls?

Would you want to go to a college where you are not allowed to touch the opposite sex in any way?~~

Now after having said all that, I want you to understand that I don't want to go to college to rebel and live a life different from my home life.  It's not that I want to go around touching guys all the time, or want to dress immodestly for all the world to see.  I hope you don't think that about me.  But it seems to me when teenagers go to college, they should be expected to act rationally and adult-like.  I realize they don't all the time.  I know many examples to choose from.  But I think I would die in a place like that, because it was so restricting it almost made it hard to breathe.  And this is coming from shy, reserved Bonnie.  I know their motive is to protect young people, but it seems to me that when you restrict and and tell them all these things they CANNOT do under any circumstances, it makes them want to break the rules to see what its like.  I know so many cases just like that.  So anyway, I know it seems as if I'm still blowing off steam.  I'm sorry if it sounds offensive, its just some things going on in my mind, andI was wondering what y'all thought.    I hope you don't all think I'm a rebellious punk teenager now, itwas just really hard for me get used to those rules.  I don't think I could it for four years straight.

So tell me what y'all think!  Love y'all so much!

Well, I got my sister's wedding gift today. A crock-pot. How exciting and tantalizing. *not* But, she'll use it, and it was on her registry list. Now, I've gotta think of something fun and cutesy that she'll remember from me. But I'm glad I got her "official" gift, because the shower is tomorrow, at my aunt's house. There are gonna be so many people there, I hope we have room.

I want to find some new icons. It's time for a change. I'll see what I can do.

This was cool:

People Envy Your Compassion

You have a kind heart and an unusual empathy for all living creatures. You tend to absorb others' happiness and pain.
People envy your compassion, and more importantly, the connections it helps you build. And compassionate as you are, you feel for them.
